KURT KERNS / PRINCIPAL

Bachelor of Architecture, Kansas State University

Kurt is a registered architect in several states including Missouri, Illinois, New York, and Texas to name a few. He has worked on projects across the country for clients such as CBS, Boeing, Northwestern College, Washington University, St. Louis Cardinals, and many more. Kurt has been the recipient of multiple design and career awards, including the St. Louis Business Journal's '40 under 40' and 'Who's Who in Technology'. Kurt is a co-owner of Thirsty Planet Brewing Company and a founding member of the band Gravity Kills, which produced and sold over 1 Million records world wide, including 5 Motion Picture Soundtracks, and played over 1,000 shows in 16 countries. In 2010, during a momentary lapse of logic, he founded V Three Studios LLC.

 

JOSH HELLMANN / ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Bachelor of Architecture, Drury University

Josh is a registered architect in Missouri and a LEED accredited professional. He has been managing complex projects across the country for much of his career. Josh says he is passionate about details and the pursuit of perfection; others call it "pure intensity." In addition to being an Associate Principal for the firm, he serves as an instructor at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts (Washington University St. Louis). In his free time, Josh enjoys coaching his three daughters' competitive soccer teams. It's a good thing he has a great smile!

 

GABE McKEE / DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Bachelor of Architecture, Kansas State University

Gabe grew up on a small farm in Missouri raising horses and cattle. His daughters Makiah and Annukah are his inspiration in all he does. He is passionate about art, design and construction and their influence on society and the built and natural environments. Gabe serves as the Design Principal at V3 and is an instructor at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts (Washington University). When he's not working he enjoys his spending time with his daughters, gardening, painting and building anything. Oh and beer....

 

LEIF HAUSER / ARCHITECT

Master of Architecture, Washington University

Leif was one of those kids who played with LEGOS incessantly. It's little wonder he eventually found his way into the architectural profession after first pursuing undergraduate degrees in speech communication and fine arts. Leif is a registered architect in MO, IL, and NJ.  His project experience crosses several markets including higher education, laboratories, banks, historic renovation, restaurants, offices, and residential. Over the years, Leif has contributed to the community by serving on Olivette's Planning and Community Design Commission, two separate facilities planning task forces, and as an elected City Councilperson. When he's not on the clock, Leif enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and quality time with his wife and daughter.

 

BONNIE BLUME / DESIGNER

Bachelor of Interior Architecture, Kansas State University

Bonnie has been involved in project management and design for over twenty years for many banking, advertising, and commercial clients. She has had a flair for design and color and has been honing her skills since Kindergarten when she got her first set of 64 count crayons.  When she is not driving one of her three lovely daughters to a new activity, she enjoys time painting in her art studio, creating new recipes that her five year old dislikes, live music festivals, or brewing beer in her home brewery.  She believes beer (dark chocolate and red wine too) makes the world more colorful.

 

CHRIS MROZEWSKI / DESIGNER

Bachelor of Architecture, Drury University

Chris is a native of St. Louis city and is dedicated to using design to improve the surrounding community. His passion for architecture developed at an early age while rehabbing historic homes in the city for his family construction company. He has worked on a variety of projects including the renovation of Lambert International Airport, the Sunshine Ministries Administration Building, and served as the project manager of the historic St. Louis Saucer Building renovation. His passion for design is rivaled only by his love of music and cooking.

 

CHARLES HUSS / DESIGNER

Master of Architecture, Master of Business Administration, University of Illinois

Charles is originally from Chicago and moved to St. Louis upon graduation to join the V3 team. From a young age, he has consulted on design projects varying from interior design to landscape design to whole house remodels and ran his own design-build business before joining V3. Charles has been the recipient of many design awards and academic fellowships and brings a new perspectives for design and project management to the firm.

 

SANDY CHIU / INTERIOR DESIGNER

Sandy has spent nearly ten years working as an interior designer on a broad range of projects. Prior to her interior design work, Sandy spent five years working as a mechanical engineer. This diverse background allows her the unique understanding of both the technical and aesthetic elements of a project.
