Our friends at Byrd & Barrel know one thing for sure: hot fried chicken and cold beer will never go out of style. After closing its much-loved original location earlier in 2020, the restaurant will be coming back bigger and better in a fully renovated new home designed by V Three Studios. Occupying what was once a popular dive bar, the building will be revitalized inside and out to offer a clean and modern yet fun and relaxed atmosphere to guests dining in or taking food to-go via flexible pickup windows.

When guests arrive, they will be greeted by a renovated exterior including a covered three-season patio and an outdoor bar fabricated from a shipping container, which will bear the Byrd & Barrel logo. Moving inside, the space has been reinvented to maximize the customer experience with a variety of seating options, expressive chicken-themed lighting and decor, and a convenient to-go counter for deli items, online orders, and other merchandise. A sleek 18-seat bar anchors the middle of the restaurant, and beyond it lies another cozy dining area marked by a shift from the bar’s white color scheme to black walls and decor accented by large chicken wall murals.

Upon completion, this restaurant will mark another successful collaboration between the owners and design team while offering a new and unique experience to the St. Louis dining scene.
